Asian Television Award
Santhosh George Kulangara bagged the Asian Television Award for the director of the best television programme. Santhosh George received the Award in a function held on April 24, 2009 at UAE.

K.R. Narayanan Award

Santhosh George Kulangara has won the prestigious award instituted by the K.R. Narayanan Foundation in memory of our Hon. former President K.R. Narayanan. K. Sankaranarayanan, the Governor of Nagaland, presented the award to Santhosh George Kulangara, in a function held at the birth place of K.R. Narayanan at Uzhavoor in Kottayam district, Kerala.

Santhosh George Kulangara becomes the first Indian Space Tourist

Santhosh George Kulangara is creating another history by becoming the first Indian space tourist. The Virgin Galactic, a venture of Sir.Richard Branson of Virgin Atlantic is behind this dream flight. They have confirmed the seat as passenger number 38.The authorities of the flight have allowed Santhosh George to film the entire process of preparations and flight sequences. There will be three days of flight preparations, to equip with the basic knowledge for the trip.
Santhosh George will spend three hours in zero-gravity environment.
 
Sancharam in the Limca Book of Records

Sancharam, the first visual travelogue serial in Malayalam has entered into the 'Limca Book of Records', an Indian equivalent of the Guinness Book of World Records. Sancharam bagged this rare honour as a programme produced by the illustrious media person, Mr.Santhosh George Kulangara who has been making a solo trip from country to country videoing the scenes and sights around the world. The 2007 edition of the Limca Book of Records contains extraordinary feats like this, made by Indians in the various fields.

Film Critics Award

The Kerala Film Critics Award for the best Television programme telecasted in 2005 was bagged by Sancharam. The Award was accepted by Sri.Santhosh George Kulangara, the director of the programme,at the Award Nite  held at Thiruvanathapuram on April 16,2006.

Yuva Prathiba Award
The multifaceted personality Santhosh George Kulangara was awarded the Yuva Pratibha Award for the year 2004 for his varied contribution in the field of television programmes by the Indian Junior Chamber.

      Kamal Patra Puraskar
The Kamal Patra Puraskar for the year 2004 was awarded to Sri. Santhosh George Kulangara who has made a major impact in the field of visual media through his unparalleled programme ‘Sancharam’ by the Indian Junior Chamber.

      Souparnikatheeram State Award
The 2004,Souparnikatheeram Miniscreen Award for the best director of a non-fictional programme was awarded to Sri.Santhosh George Kulangara. Dr Babu Paul, IAS presented Santhosh George with the award at a function organized by Soparnikatheeram Arts Society ,a cultural Society based in Thiruvanathapuram at a VJT Hall.
 

      All India RAPA Award-2004
'SANCHARAM' was selected for the award of ‘best non-fiction television programme’ given away by Radio and TV Advertising Practioners Association (RAPA) when its 30th National Awards were announced. Mr Santhosh George Kulangara,the director and cinematographer of SANCHARAM received the award on 7th May 2005 at 6.30 pm at Taj Lands End,Bandra west,Mumbai.
 

      National Film Academy Award
'Sancharam' has been declared eligible for the prestigious award instituted by National Film Academy for the section 'Other than Fiction!.' Sancharam has been selected for this coveted Award through the viewers' meet held at the centres of Thiruvananthapuram ,Ernakulam and Kozhikode.The Award has been declared by the Jury consisting of M.S. Paul Manalil, M.F.Thomas,B.Harikumar,Dr.Vattavila Vijayakumar, T.P.Sasthamangalam,Kanaka Raghavan and Dr.Nityhyanand at a press conference held on 29th April 2004.The Award was presented to Mr.Santhosh George at a function held at Thiruvanathapuram in September, 2004.
 

      Kerala Film Critics Association Award-2003
Sancharam bagged the Kerala Film Critics Association Award for the second best TV serial for the year 2003.Celebrated film director K.G. George presented the Award to the maker of the serial Santhosh George at the colourful Award Night held at Kottayam on April 24,2003.Prominent film stars of the South Indian cinema like Mohanlal,Prabhu and Jagadish were present on that occassion.

All India RAPA Award-2003
The 29th National Award for the best director and photographer was presented to the director and photographer of 'Sancharam' Mr.Santhosh George Kulangara.The RAPA awards are the most notable ones among the Television Awards. The Award has been presented to Mr.Santhosh George by the well known film star Priya Dutta on 22nd May, 2004 at a function held at the Taj Land Ends at Bandra in Mumbai. Prominent personalities of Bollywood and in the Television sector were present.

All India RAPA Award-2003
The script writer of Sancharam, Sri.A.U.Ratheeshkumar was selected for the prestigious 29th National Award of the Radio and Television Advertising Practitioners Association of India for the best Script Writer.The Award was presented to Mr.Ratheeshkumar by the well known film star Priya Dutta on 22nd May 2004 at a function held at the Taj Land Ends at Bandra in Mumbai.It was for the second time consecutively that Mr.Ratheeshkumar secured this coveted Award.

All India Akshaya National Award-2003
Sri.Santhosh George Kulangara was selected for the prestigious Young Talent Award, instituted by the Akshaya Pustaka Nidhi,for the year 2003. He was awarded for his commendable performance as the cinematographer and director of the popular visual travelogue serial Sancharam.The Award was presented to Santhosh George by Sri.G.Karthikeyan,Hon.Minister of Cultural Affairs,Kerala State, at a ceremony held at the Town Hall, Bangalore.The meeting was attended by prominent figures like Sri J.Alexander,Hon.Minister of Tourism,Karanataka state,Payipra Radhakrishnan,Chairman,Akshaya Pustaka Nidhi and so on.
 

      National Award to “Sancharam"
This is one of the prestigious awards given at National level in the Radio-Mini screen field. Sancharam was selected for the award from the TV programmes of about 20 different languages. Mr. A. U. Ratheesh Kumar is the script writer of ‘Sancharam’. The award presentation ceremony was attended by renowned TV personalities, critics, chiefs of Doordarsan and many other private TV channels.A.U. Ratheeshkumar received the award from famous film actress Pallavi Joshi. Clippings of the award winning episode of ‘Sancharam’ were shown in the ceremony. A.U.Ratheeshkumar is serving as the News Editor of the daily ‘Supplement’ published by Labour India group. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards like P.U.C.L. National award (1997) for best reporting related to human rights issues and UNICEF Award (1998) for best journalist.
 

      Rotary Star of the Year 2007
Santhosh George Kulangara was the proud recipient of the Rotary Star of the Year 2007 award. He has got this award for his outstanding contributions in the fields of entrepreneurship and media.
 

      Outstanding Young Indian National Award by JCI India
Santhosh George Kulangara has won another laurel on his cap this year, the Outstanding Young Indian National Award instituted by JCI India. This is in recognition to his exemplifying contribution in numerous endeavours that have continued to serve humanity in a great variety of ways.
